Welcome to Mrs. Matson's class!

It is an honour and privilege to teach and learn alongside you and your child. It is my strong belief that it takes a village to raise a child, you play a vital role in your child's education.

I use Freshgrade, an online digital portfolio, to document your child's learning. It is on-going, please check it every few weeks,

What you can do to support your child at home:

Tip #1:

Let your child PLAY! They need indoor and outdoor play.

Tip #2:

Ensure your child has adequate sleep and comes to school with healthy snacks, lunch and a water bottle.

Tip #3:

Limit screen time. Go back to tip #1 for my reason! 

Tip #4:

Read with your child to foster the love of reading. Go to the local library and sign out books your child is interested in and read to them. Have conversations about the stories and the pictures in the books.
